Samsung UN46B8000 46-Inch 1080p 240Hz LED HDTV Review

This TV is sweet. Very thin, super clear and crisp picture, smart remote. Don't see the use of putting the USB wireless in, it's kind of dumb stuff that you can access if you do, but I guess it is OK for updates etc. The 240 hz engine interpolates motion, but it has a little cloud or haze bubble that is almost worse than just letting the native frequency do what it can. That's only when you have, for example, a helicopter overhead zoom-in shot of a cheetah chasing an antelope. Other than that, just a sweet TV. Wall mount was a rip-off so I made my own, worked out fine. This TV meets all my expectations. I combined it with a Yamaha NS-SP1800BL 5.1 Suround speakers and the Yamaha RX-V765BL 665 Watt 7-Channel Home Theater Receiver (all purchased at Amazon). The TV is shocking in it's brightness, contrast and clarity of picture. Add that to the power savings over an LCD TV and it's a win, win. I have very high expectations of my electronics. The Samsung LED has not disappointed once. From the picture to it's styling it was worth every penny. The HD picture is more vibrant than other HD TV's, not to mention USB and HDMI ports to easily use your computer and storage devices to watch movies, pictures etc.

Pro: Excellent picture which is easy to fine tune. Awkward, but complete menu, which is largely intuitive. Easy setup. Extremely thin. Stable mounted on supplied base

Cons: Primary remote is complete, but strangely shaped. Secondary remote is largely useless. The TVs sound is adequete, but will not satisfy an audiophile.

So far so good. We are satisfied and an old Sony Bravia 60 HZ. Buy Sony Bravia 46 "120 Hz, but had to return to Costco, because of lower image quality. We also returned Magnavox 1080P 120 Hz to Sam's Club for similar reasons. I believe that the buyer must be aware of the details of Bravia sold as model # s, k, WOX series model with a different image quality.
